DIY Holiday Wreath:

You’ll need:

  • 1 Fresh Mixed Greens Wreath
  • Ornaments, bells or other holiday decor
  • Ribbon (3.5-2.5 yards)
  • wire
  • wire cutters
  • hot glue
  • scissors
  • ruler
  1. Lay your wreath flat on a table and begin to set your ornaments and other decoration in clusters around the wreath; don’t forget to leave room for a bow when you are placing your ornaments.
  2. If you are using glass ornaments hot glue the cap to the ornament by gently pulling the ornament “loop” away from the ornament and applying a glue dot under the metal cap at the top of the ornament.
  3. Once you have secured all of your ornaments, use an 8″ piece of wire to bind ornament clusters together. Thread the wire through the ornament loop and twist them together. NOTE: If your decoration cannot be wired into a cluster we will attach it later with hot glue
  4. Once all ornament cluster have been wired together you can begin to attach them to the wreath. Holding one ornament cluster in your hand, thread the end of the wire from the front of the wreath, through the greens, to the back of the wreath. Do this with the second piece of wire as well. Twist the two wire “tails” together at the back of the wreath to secure the ornament cluster.
  5. Continue attaching the ornament clusters in this way until they are all secured on the front of the wreath.
  6. Hot glue any remaining decorations onto the front of the wreath. TIP: Hide the hot glue by tucking hot glued portions under some of the greens.
  7. Make your bow and secure it by threading the wire ends from the front of the wreath to the back of the wreath and twisting the two ends together.

Fluffy Bow Instructions

  1. Begin with 3.5 yards of ribbon (wired ribbon is best)
  2. Make a 10” loop with the ribbon making sure there are 4 loops on one side and 5 loops on the other side
  3. Fold the remaining ribbon in half and place the center fold against the underside of the loop.
  4. Find the middle of the loop and cut either side of the ribbon loop and tails leaving 3/4” of ribbon intact between the cuts.
  5. Take a piece of wire and thread it through each cut and twist the wire together underneath the loop and tails.
  6. Fluff the bow! Hold one stack of loops in your palm.
  7. Pull the loop on the inside to the left and twist toward yourself, then pull the loop on the top to the right and twist away from yourself.
  8. Now, pull the loop on the inside to the right and twist toward yourself, and pull the loop on the top to the left and twist away from yourself
  9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 until all loops are fluffed.
  10. Adjust the shape of the loops to perfect your bow
  11. Cut a V into the bottom of the tails.
